March 17th, 1925 - September 14th, 2002
Malone, John, 77, of St. Pete Beach, died Friday Sept. 13, 2002, at his residence. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he came here in 1982. He retired from Illinois Bell as a Repair Foreman, he served in the US Navy and in WWII, and the Pacific. He was awarded a Victory Medal, Air Medal Stars, and Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of the American Legion Post 400 in Orlando Fla, PBY Catalina Association and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3, Survivors include his wife: Christine, four daughters, Donna Malone of Merrionette Park IL, Colleen Easton of Sarasota Fla, Cathleen Gramling of St. Petersburg, Kelly Howard of St. Pete Beach, three sons, Robert Malone of Hudson Fla, Paul Malone Honolulu, Hi, Mark Malone of Commerce Ga, 15 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grand Children. In lieu of Flowers, family prefers memorial donations c/o Wm. Thomason, PBY Cutaway Restoration, 2500 Kendrick Drive, Charlotte, NC 28214. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel.
