Carolyn R. Lifshey

Lifshey, Carolyn Roemer, 85, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday Dec. 29, 2002 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Highland Park, New Jersey, she came here in 1950 from New Brunswick, New Jersey. She graduated from Rutgers University in 1939. She taught for seventeen years in Pinellas County and was the Chairman of the Art Department of Lakewood High School. She retired in 1983 but continued to substitute teach until 1993. She was a member of the Pinellas County Teacher?s Association, the Dali Museum and the Fine Arts Museum. She was a member of Christ United Methodist since 1950 and was a member of the Friendship class. Survivors include two daughters: Catherine R. Wheeler, St. Petersburg; and Susan R. Mulanax, Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
