Charles Chuck'' Edward Reynolds
June 6th, 1933 - February 25th, 2003
Reynolds, Charles ?Chuck? Edward, 69, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday Feb. 25, 2003 at home. Born in South Point, Ohio, he has been a resident in the Tampa Bay area since 1936 and attended Hillsborough High School. He came to St. Petersburg in 1962 from Tampa, FL. He served as a Corporal with the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded two Purple Hearts for combat service. After the service, he returned to Tampa to work at National Wire. He also spent time as a Professional Boxer and a Dance Instructor for Arthur Murray's in the 1950's and 1960's. He owned and operated Hair Hunter?s and Hair Hunter?s Too in St. Petersburg for over twenty years, retiring about five years ago. He was a member of the DAV, the American Legion,VFW Post #4364 and a Past President of Toastmasters #4698. Through Toastmasters, he was a frequent speaker to youth groups and troubled teens. He attended Clearview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marguerite ?Marge?; two daughters: Paula Pauly and Beth Reynolds, both of St. Petersburg; one son, Charles Reynolds, II, Tampa; two sisters: Easter Reynolds Woodruff, Nashville, TN; and Ruth Sutton, Charlotte, NC; one brother, Homer Reynolds, Stedman, NC; and two grandchildren. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to the DAV, National Service Office, 144-1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
