Myers, Frank L., 86, of St. Petersburg, died Monday March 17, 2003 at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg. Born in Barberton, OH, he came here in 1990 from Akron, OH. He served in the US Army during WWII as a Tec-5. He received the American Theater Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He retired after 42 years of service from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, in Akron, as a Tire Builder. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Bob Gregovich, St. Petersburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Arline Myers, Glendale, AZ; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Elaine and Dave McSherry, Ajo, AZ; and Grace and Ken Fox, Wikieup, AZ; one grandson, Zachary Gregovich, St. Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300 E. Bay Dr., Largo, FL 33770. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
