Hardin T. Buddy'' Pendergrass
August 10th, 1947 - March 16th, 2003
Matthew 10:32-33 ''Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.? Hardin T. ?Buddy? Pendergrass, Jr. was born twice. He was born first into this world on August 10, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN and re-born into the Kingdom of God and re-dedicated his life to the Lord during the Summer of ?98. Since his early childhood God had blessed Buddy with the gift of music, but he struggled much of his life to serve the Lord with His gifts. Buddy made several efforts in bands like White Witch to make statements about the battle of Good versus Evil, but Buddy found no true success until he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. Since then Buddy has been confessing the name of Jesus before men through his music and engineering the music of others to the Glory of God. For all his life, Buddy had an infectious passion for life, a passion that was vibrantly communicated in the music of the Tropics and still touches the lives of fans throughout the world. In recent days, Buddy?s passion had led him to ultimate satisfaction in Jesus in bringing Him glory. This is no more evident than in the lives of his family who have blossomed in the shadow of his spiritual leadership. As his family and friends, we are convinced that Buddy expects his wife, Debbie, his two sons, Clayton and Ted, his mother, Peggy, his father, Hardin, his sisters Vicki and Paula, his myriad of family and friends and fans and colleagues and co-workers will join him in his passion to confess the name of Jesus Christ until we all meet again together in Glory. Final arrangements are being made through Anderson McQueen Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers, please send donations to Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg Building Fund, 9021 US Hwy 19N., Pinellas Park
