Medgyessy, Paul A., 23, of New Port Richey and formerly of Oldsmar, died Saturday September 6, 2003 in Pinellas Park due to injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Born in Toronto, Canada, he moved to New Port Richey in August from Oldsmar, FL. He was currently serving on Active Duty as an Aviation Survival Technician AST3 Petty Officer 3rd Class with the United States Coast Guard in Clearwater. He was a recipient of the Coast Guard Unit Commendation Ribbon, Rifle Sharpshooter Ribbon, Marksmen Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Antarctica Service Medal, Operations Service Ribbon with one Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct medal with one Bronze Star. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL and also attended St. Brendan Catholic Church in Clearwater Beach. He was predeceased by his sister, Amy Alexandra Medgyessy. Survivors include his mother, Marta Fordos, of Ohio and his father and step-mother, Michael and Ilona M. Medgyessy, of Ohio; one brother, Michael Stephen Medgyessy, Shreveport, LA; two sisters: Kristy Ann Medgyessy, and Jennifer Gans, both of Lakewood, OH; Paternal Grandparents, Michael and Agnes Medgyessy, Toronto, Canada; Maternal Grandmother, Marta Kudriczy, Atlanta, GA; and Maternal Grandfather, Egon Fordos, Hungary; and his fiancee', Amanda Cruea, Clearwater, FL. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Largo Chapel.
