Pickett, Giesela Maass, 71, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday October 7, 2003 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Scheswig-Holstein, Germany, she moved to Florida in 1975 from San Antonio, Texas. She was a Life Master Level Duplicate Bridge Player, a member of the Suncoast Bridge Club, the 49th Street Bridge Club, a gourmet cook and an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wayne E.; two daughters, Susan P. Mattison of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Patricia A. Eaton of Graham, North Carolina; a brother, Gerhard Maass of Tarpon Springs, Florida and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Stroke Association 9900-9th Street North St. Petersburg, FL 33716-3801
