Ortiz, Carlos Sr. ?Charlie?, 65, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday October 8, 2003. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he came here in 1978 from The Bronx, New York. He was formerly employed at Goodwill Industries, was a Football Coach for the Lakewood Peewee League and a Baseball Coach for Jerome in The Bronx. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include 3 sons, Luis Ortiz, Raymond Ortiz and Carlos Ortiz, Jr., all of St. Petersburg. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
