Morgan, Hazelmary Wilmore, of St. Petersburg, FL died Thursday January 15, 2004 at home. Born in Welch, West Virginia, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1952 from Bluefield, West Virginia. She was a graduate of Greenbriar School for Girls in Greenbriar, WV. She received her Baccalaureate in home economics from Concord University and her Masters from the University of Tennessee in Library Sciences. She was a teacher for the Pinellas County School System from 1953, when she started with Disston Junior High School in Home Economics, until her retirement in 1980 from Azalea Middle School as a Media Specialist. Her many memberships included: Daughters of the American Revolution, St. Petersburg Woman?s Club, St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Holiday Isles Bridge Club, South Pinellas County Retired Educators Association and Editor of their newsletter, Florida Retired Educators Association and member of their retirement planning committee, and the Association of University Women. She was a member of St. Peter?s Episcopal Cathedral and previously taught in their church Kindergarten. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Dr. Merle H. Morgan; two daughters: Kathleen M. Woolums, St. Petersburg; and Nancy M. Amundgaard, Syracuse, IN; a sister, Nancy W. Selby, Abbeville, GA; two grandsons: Hugh Brett Anderson, Boise, ID; and Zachary R. Woolums, St. Petersburg; and two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Lindsay, both of Boise, ID. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-Ninth Street Chapel.
