John Goodman Enwright
April 2nd, 1920 - February 4th, 2004
Enwright, John Goodman ?Bud?, 83, of Largo and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday February 4, 2004. He came here in 1923 from his native Chattanooga, TN. He was graduate of St. Petersburg High School where he was an outstanding Tennis player and won three city Tennis championships. He received his Bachelor?s Degree and a Law Degree at the University of Florida, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and he continued to be an outstanding Tennis player. Locally, he was a civil trial lawyer from 1948 until his retirement in 1964. He then worked for Morgan Yacht Company and H & R Block for many years. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, the Optimist Club, the Over The Hill Gang, and he was a former member of St. Bartholomew?s Episcopal Church and Garden Crest Presbyterian Church. He was a WW II Navy veteran. He is survived by 3 sons, Byron Randall ?Randy? E. Enwright of Tallahassee, FL; John G. Enwright of New Ulm, MN; and Mark A. Enwright of Columbia, MO; 1 daughter, Julie Enwright Craddock of Kauai, HI; one sister, Mildred E. ?Millie? Palmer of Belleair; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
