December 24th, 1921 - February 14th, 2004
Krawcykowski, Chester J. ?Chet?, 82, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday February 14, 2004 at Grace Health Care of St. Petersburg. Born in Somerville, NJ, he came here in 1979 from Dunellen, New Jersey. He was a Fire Chief with American Cyanamid Company in Boundbrook, NJ and a delivery driver for Suncoast Pizza for ten years. He served as a Captain in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze star for meritorious service during combat, the Silver Star, and Purple Heart. He is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. He was a member of VFW Post #6827, American Legion Post #119 in Dunellen, a life member of the Dunellen Fire Department where he also served as chief, a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, and a life member of the 42nd Rainbow Infantry Division Veteran?s Association. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruth H., a son: Chester Jr., Whitehouse Station, NJ; a daughter: Diane Gundlah, White, Georgia; one brother: Theodor, Somerville, NJ; two sisters: Jean Bartz, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; Dorothy Carvis, St. Petersburg; and four grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
