Bassford, Brenda A., 45, of Brandon, FL and formerly of St. Petersburg, FL died Wednesday February 18, 2004 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa following complications from a lung transplant. She was born in Washington, DC and raised in Maryland before moving to Tampa in 1988, to St. Petersburg in 1990, and to Brandon in 2002. She was a 1976 graduate of Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, MD. She had been an information technology consultant with Gregory Sharer & Stuart, St. Petersburg, FL. She and her husband owned Dynamic Computer Consultants and she worked as a bookkeeper for Cox Lumber Company before her current position as Controller with Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center for the past fifteen years, all in St. Petersburg. She was on the Board of Directors and served as Treasurer for Lily the Love Frog, Inc. a Pinellas County Florida non-profit organization dedicated to raising deaf awareness. She was a five year member of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., Greater Florida Chapter, Clearwater, FL where she served on the Board of Directors for the past three years and Treasurer for the past two years. She was a volunteer for the Loop for Lupus for four years which was held on Treasure Island, FL. She was an avid Tampa Bay Bucs fan and the proud mom of three dogs and four cats. She was a loving and caring person that always looked out for friends and family. Survivors include her husband of twenty five years, Alan; her father and step-mother, Francis M. ?Fuzzy? and Betty Martin, Milford, DE; one brother, Michael Martin, Newburg, MD; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
