Robert C. Marvel

Bob passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 Born May 29, 1933 in Rochester, NY He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Betty Jean Kaiser. He also leaves behind 3 sons, Thomas Marvel (Lisa Marvel), Larry Marvel (Martha Marvel) and Robert ("R.J." - Josie Marvel) and 2 daughters, Kathy Jean Davis and Robynbeth Marvel, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Army from February 1951 to January 1954. "A Wolfhound". He was awarded The Korean Service Medal, 2 bronze service stars, The Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, and The Korean War Service Medal. Prior to retirement he was a barber at MacDill Air Force Base. He was an avid motorcyclist and a local artist who painted under the name R. Kaski Marvel. Graveside services to be held at Bay Pines Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Disabled Veterans Organization or Christ The King Lutheran Church at 11220 Oakhurst Road, Largo, FL 33774.
