Kaslander, Paul J., 58, originally from Essex Fells, NJ, died Saturday December 11, 2004 at his home in Belleair Beach, FL. He was graduated from Rider University, Trenton, NJ and Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the Dale Carnegie Sales Course where he was a nine time teacher/group leader. A long time resident of Pinellas County, he acquired Dial Directories, Inc., a Largo-based company that publishes directories for over 80 senior communities and presided over it until his death. His extensive civic involvement includes: The Largo/Mid Pinellas Chamber of Commerce since 1988 where he served as Ambassador Chair, Small Business Chair, Program Chair, Board Member and Executive Committee Member. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 2000. He was awarded Small Business Person of the Year in 2001 and Citizen of the Year in 2003. Leadership Pinellas since 1981 where he served as treasurer and on the Planning and Selection Committees. He was awarded Distinguished Alumnus in 2004. Sun Coast Hospital Foundation since 1996 where he served on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee. He was appointed Chairman in 2003. Moreover, he was involved in many associations and foundations. He is survived by his wife, Arlene; a daughter, Susan of Lawrenceville, NJ; a step-daughter, Amanda Wagner of Largo; a sister, Ruth Fazekas of Metedeconk, NJ; a brother, Robert of Montville, NJ; and eight nieces and nephews.
