Watson, Ada, of St. Petersburg, passed away Sunday January 30, 2005 at St. Anthony?s Hospital having lived to the age of 94 years. She was born in the county of Nottingham, England, the daughter of William and Clara Ellen Bostock. Her father was a coal miner. She came here with her husband, Robert, in 1952 from Toronto, Canada. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States on April 3, 1953. She was a charter member of the former Edgemoor Methodist Church which was the forerunner of Riviera United Methodist Church. She had been active in her church as a Sunday School Teacher, Chairmen of Evangelism Committee, a singles group known as The Rascals, United Methodist Women and other church activities through the years. She was a member of the Edgemoor Neighborhood Association, Roberts Walkers Club, St. Petersburg Book Club and the Widowed Social Club. She was also an active world traveler having toured Israel, Europe, China, Australia and New Zealand and was generous with travel scholarships enabling others to travel with her. Survivors include nieces and nephews in Canada and England as well as many friends and acquaintances. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers-N.E. St. Petersburg.
