Barber, Edward, Sr., 81, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday March 12, 2005 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he came here in 1986 from Williamstown, NJ. He served as a U. S. Army Private during WWII and was a member of the 45th Infantry Division Association and the VFW Post 7410. He was a Baker for the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. A&P in Philadelphia and retired after 25 years of service. He was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia L.; six sons: Edward, Jr., Philadelphia, PA; James, Colombia, South America; Mark, Brooksville, FL; Steven, Williamstown, NJ; Herbert Scheurer, Largo, FL; and Brian Scheurer, Oxford, AL; three daughters: Mary Ann Neher, Williamstown, NJ; Cheryl Kohler, Alloway, NJ; and Sandra Scheurer-Scott, Jacksonville, FL; twenty-three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
