Mackey, Gordon D., 82, of Largo, died Tuesday April 5, 2005 at Oak Manor Nursing Center in Largo. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, he came here in 1969 from Belleville, Ontario, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He was a retired Captain in the Canadian Air Force. After retiring from the military, he was a self-employed landscape contractor in Largo. He loved to play golf. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth D.; three sons: Murray Mackey, Dade City, FL; Robert Mackey, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Steven Ben Mackey, Largo; a daughter, Marilyn Mackey, Dallas, TX; a brother, Dr. Arthur Mackey, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and six grandchildren.
