Padgett, Julius S. ?Smitty?, 92, of St. Petersburg, died Friday April 8, 2005 at Comprehensive Healthcare of Clearwater. Born in Saluda, SC, he came here in 1934 from Americus, GA. From 38 years he worked with the St. Petersburg Transit Company as a Bus Driver. He was a charter member of Pasadena Community Church and attended Skycrest Baptist Church. He was a member of the Pinellas Rose Society. Survivors include two daughters: Peggy Leonard, Pinellas Park; Julianne Hehr, Clearwater; a brother: A.C Padgett, Snellville, GA; two step daughters: Margie Calhoun and Julie Grear both of St. Petersburg; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
