Richard Mulder
October 25th, 1924 - May 27th, 2005
Mulder, Richard, 80, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He was born in Zeeland, Michigan, and first came here in the ?40s. In 1943 at the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and subsequently retired from the Air Force as a Chief Warrant Officer after 30 years of service. He served as a tail gunner on a B-17 in the Pacific theatre in WWII and was an Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialist in Southeast Asia in the late 1960s. He was a member of First Baptist Church in St. Petersburg and the Dutch Reformed Church of North Blendon, MI. He enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, football, and most especially his family. He was imbued with a responsibility to take care of people. He cherished his church affiliations and most especially those moments of communion with his family and special friends. He is survived by two daughters, Clara J. ?CJ? and Linda who will forever miss his love, wisdom and comfort; his precious granddaughter, Jennifer L. Vozne who lives in Virginia; and his frau, Jean and grandson, Matthew who are in heaven. He is also survived by two beloved brothers, Larry and Garvin Mulder and their families, and one niece and three nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral and Cremation Centers, N.E. St. Petersburg.
