Osterland, Sr., Robert H. ?Bob?, 83, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, July 01, 2005 at Hospice House Woodside of complications of Parkinson?s Disease, Pinellas Park. He came here in 1947 from his native Naperville, IL. He worked for 36 years as Treasurer/Manager/CEO of the St. Petersburg Municipal Employee Credit Union. He was a founding Director of the Florida Guaranty Board insuring C.U. Member Funds from 1974 until it dissolved in 1995. He was Director of the Florida Central Credit Union from 1968 until retiring as Director Emeritus in 1998. He attended Jacksonville University. He was a Staff Sgt. in the 680th Army Air Force Band. He was a Life Member of the American Federation of Musicians, Tampa Bay local #427-721 and was a drummer with many local dance bands in the Tampa Bay area between 1950-1990. He was a member of Northside Lodge #283, Scottish Rite of Masonary, SJ, Egypt Temple Shrine, BPOE Elks Lodge #1224 and the Kentucky Colonels. He was a protestant. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Stephanie ?Stevie?, a son, Robert H. Osterland, Jr., St. Petersburg, brother, Frank Osterland, Lisle, IL, sister, Ruth Berger, Somonauk, IL and grandson, Ian Osterland, St. Petersburg.
