Asaro, Giacamo B. ?Jack?, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, July 24th, 2005 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and came here in 1985 from Huntington, NY where he was a bus driver and dispatcher, and a member of Elks Lodge #1565. Prior to that, he was a Transportation Director for the Government. He served in the Coast Guard during WW II. Locally, he was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Men?s Club and Legion of Mary; Knights of Columbus Council #5737; Moose Lodge; VFW; and American Legion Post #273 in Madeira Beach. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Rose Asaro; 2 sons, Gerard Asaro of Mastic, NY and Raymond Asaro of Smithtown, NY; 1 sister, Antonina Sgroi of Knoxville, TN; and 2 grandchildren, Theresa Mary Asaro and Gerard Asaro, Jr. of Mastic, NY. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers-Tyrone Chapel.
