Hynish, Karen Joan, 43, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, October 04, 2005 at home of cancer. A native of St. Petersburg, she attended St. John?s Elementary School and was a 1980 graduate of St. Petersburg Catholic High School where she was a cheerleader and active in sports. She was a girl scout, a member of the St. Pete Beach girl?s softball league and played back and forth with the Canadian Girls softball for 16 years. She was an accomplished dancer and singer and traveled worldwide with ?Up With People?. After graduation she spent a short time in New York City as a model and making commercials. She is survived by two daughters, Brieanna Jean and Alexandra Hynish, both of St. Petersburg, her mother, Marjorie Hynish, St. Petersburg, her father, William P. Hynish, Atlanta, GA, four brothers, Daniel T. Hynish, St. Petersburg, Billy, James, and Allen, all of Arizona, four sisters, Jean, Denver, CO, Dianne, Portland, OR, Donna, Arizona and Debbi Hart, Ashville, NC.
