August 7th, 1925 - November 30th, 2005
Kemberling, Lee R. ?Skip?, 80, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Brookfield, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at Bayfront Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio. A WWII Navy veteran, he graduated Marquette University and earned a Master?s of Mechanical Engineering Degree at Purdue University in 1949. He founded Kemco Systems, Inc. in 1969 and continued working as CEO six days a week until his illness. He served on the Board of Directors for SRI/Surgical Express, as well as many various boards and committees in the Laundry industry, in which he worked for over 55 years. He was one of the major owners of Anodyne Therapy, Ltd. He enjoyed traveling and his work took him to many corners of the world. He was an advocate of higher education and an avid reader with a special interest in the Civil War. He was the youngest person to become an Eagle Scout in the state of Ohio. He started a Boy Scout Troop in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife Betty of 55 years. His three daughters, Sue Ann Kemberling and son-in-law David Heideman of St. Petersburg, Barbara and son-in-law Carlos Garcia of Tampa and Dr. Patricia Kemberling of Penn Valley, CA. Also a sister, Barbara Dittman of Britton, MI, a brother, Norman Kemberling of Toledo, OH, and granddaughter, Amanda Garcia and grandson, Alex Garcia and several nieces and nephews.
