Lockwood, John Eric ?Johnny?, 80, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, December 3, 2005. Born in Los Angeles, California, he came here in 1978 from Chicago, Illinois. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a salesman for Olson?s Electronics in Chicago and later in St. Petersburg and Hollywood, Florida. He was on the Planning Commission for the City of Ontario, California, a Radioman on a destroyer in the South Pacific, a telegrapher for the Santa Fe Railroad and a supervisor for General Electric Jet engines in California. He was past president of the American Legion, a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of Ontario, Calif. and a member of the Electrical Workers Union. He is survived by a son, Eric Gene McCready, Tahoe Vista, CA, a daughter, Susan Carol Anderson, Cabazon, CA, two brothers, William F. Lockwood, Alhambra, CA and Robert E. Lockwood, Texico, IL and six grandchildren.
