Eldon "Bud" Earl Strawn
July 28th, 1930 - May 21st, 2015
Strawn, Eldon Earl "Bud" age 84 of St. Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at home. Born in St. Petersburg, FL, on July 28, 1930, to the late Russel Earl Strawn and Valeda Emily Schaperjohn. He married Patricia Wells on June 13, 1953. Bud graduated from St. Petersburg High School, class of 1948, Stetson University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Naval Reserve Seabees. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Sunshine City Kiwanis, St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge 139, Scottish Rite, York Rite Bodies, and Egypt Shrine Temple. Bud is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; daughters, Linda Sue Fischer and Janice Ann Strawn; granddaughters, Cristiana Nicole Fryberger and Juliana Elizabeth Fischer-Girau; and four great-grandchildren, Julian, Adalyn, Shaun, and Elias; brother, Russel William Strawn; and predeceased by brother, Robert Strawn. Family will receive guests at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015, at First Baptist Church, 1900 Gandy Blvd., St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, St. Petersburg or Sunshine City Kiwanis Youth Foundation.
