Shelley Amanda Blount
July 23rd, 1980 - May 23rd, 2015
Shelley passed away on May 23rd after an extended illness. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Tom W. and Eunice Blount, and her maternal grandparents Robert and Marilon Bryan. She is survived by her devoted father Thomas H. Blount and stepmother Joanna, her loving mother Denise Bryan, her sister Amy Blount-Vickers, Amy's husband Bev and their children Bailey and Addyson. She is also survived by her stepfather Chuck Browning, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and by her closest friend Emily Wray. After college, Shelley called Tallahassee home until she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to become a registered nurse at All Children's Hospital. She was a lover of life, her friends and her family. She was a tenderhearted free spirit who loved to laugh. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and with her dogs Sonny and Mischa. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Friday, May 29th at the Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, Florida. There will also be a sunset celebration of her life at 7pm at Fort Desoto State Park that same evening. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America in Shelley's name.
