October 21st, 1930 - January 23rd, 2006
Lang, Constance ?Connie?, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, January 23, 2006, at Westminster Suncoast. She was born in Wheelersburg, Ohio, and with her family moved to St. Petersburg in 1942. She attended Mirror Lake Jr. High and St. Petersburg High School, graduating in 1948. She graduated with a Bachelor?s degree in Elementary Education with the Charter Class at the University of South Florida in 1963 and received her master?s degree with honors from University of South Florida in 1969, majoring in reading and language arts. She taught for the Pinellas County Schools for many years, retiring in 1989. She maintained homes in Franklin, NC and spent her summers there since the early 1970?s and after retirement moved to Franklin, but returned to St. Petersburg in 2002. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church. She is survived by her mother, Wilma Leavitte, Largo; a sister: Henrietta Farley, St. Petersburg; two brothers: Marlin Lang, Largo and John Lang, Virginia Beach, VA; four nieces and eight nephews.
