James W. Bock

Bock, James W., Sr, 85, of St. Petersburg, died Friday March 10, 2006. Born in Elmhurst, NY, he came here in 1972 when he retired from the New York City Transit Authority after 25 years of service. Locally, he retired from the City of St. Petersburg as a bus driver after 13 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a recipient of the Purple Heart, and a member of the D.A.V. He loved fishing and reading. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris; 3 daughters, Nancy Hegyi of Deposit, NY, Janet Bock of St. Petersburg and Linda Yamond of Locust Valley, NY; 2 sons, James W. Bock, Jr. of Barrington, IL and Daniel Bock of Treasure Island; 1 sister, Mary E. Nickel of Horseheads, NY; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
