Brent Alan Craven
October 31st, 1969 - March 30th, 2006
Craven, Brent Alan, 36, of Savannah, GA and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday March 30, 2006 from complications of an incurable disease. He was born in Lebanon, IN and moved here in 1998 from Savannah, GA. He attended Lebanon public schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1988. He was an entrepreneur as a boy passing papers and selling sweet corn on his grandfather?s farm. He had a love for the outdoors and collected and enjoyed all types of creatures. He attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN and graduated with Honor?s with a B.S. Degree in Criminology and an Associate of Science Degree in Business in 1992. He was President of Mortar Board Honor Society and President of Student Government Association. He was a member of SAE Fraternity. His working career began as a security executive for a large department store in Indianapolis, IN. He continued his career with a marketing company where he became a top-level executive in a very short time. He later gained more experience while working for a company in Baton Rouge, LA that distributed continuing education. He landed the top position with a start up continuing education company that became Redvector.com, Inc. the company excelled under Brent?s leadership and within 2 years was grossing nearly $5 million. He received considerable recognition including an interview with CNN, and award from Governor Jeb Bush and was the recipient of the Indiana State University G.O.L.D. Graduate of the Last Decade. He was the Bay Vista Fundamental S.A.C. Chairman and on the Intervention & Appeal Committee and was the chairman of the Fundamental High School taskforce. He is survived by his wife of 11 years: Jennifer, of Savannah, GA; his two sons: Bailey and Tristan and daughter: Jordan Ann, all of Savannah, GA; his father and step-mother: Thomas and Marty Craven; his mother and step-father: Deborah and Wade Hoy; brother: Jason Craven; step-brothers: Chip and Tommy Craven; niece: Morgan Craven and nephew: Troy Craven and maternal grandparents: Red & Betty Strawmyer.
