Jules Cooper
November 3rd, 1926 - July 27th, 2006
Cooper, Jules, 79, of Largo and Beverly Hills, and formerly of Gulfport, died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Eagle Lake Rehab and Care Center after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came here in 1988 from Albuquerque, New Mexico where he owned and operated Cooper Press for many years and also taught at the Indian College. He was recruited by the US government to travel to Ryad, Saudi Arabia where he coordinated the communications department and taught at the University for seven years. After his return, he moved to the Tampa Bay area where he owned and operated Gulf Beach Travel in Madeira Beach and Seminole. He also owned and operated Cooper Graphics in the Tampa Bay area. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Clearwater Police Department volunteer team. He enjoyed traveling, politics, and teaching. He is survived by his wife, Joanne, two daughters, Sheila Malloy, Clearwater and Beryl Schwed, Saranac Lake, NY, three stepsons, David Richards, Corinth, TX, Ryan Richards, Fort Myers, FL and Marc Richards, Beverly Hills, FL and eleven grandchildren.
