Morley, Robert R. age 92, of Saint Petersburg, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on October 11, 1922 to the late James Majchrzak and Margaret Janiak; graduated from Buffalo Technical High School and the University of Buffalo. During WWII, he served as captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps, piloting a B-24 in the Pacific Theatre. He completed 28 low level night radar-guided bombing missions and eventually earned five military decorations. Robert married the beautiful, Irene Kurzak, in 1946 and had six children. Later he worked for the National Labor Relations Board in the Wage and Hour Division of the US Dept. of Labor, as an investigator; in 1995, he finally retired as a compliance officer at the NLRB in Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed sailing, polka dancing, reading health and religious books, and spending time with his family and many friends. He taught himself to sail and eventually became a formidable competitor in the SPSA as the Captain of the "Good News". He was also an active member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in St. Petersburg where he was an usher and extra ordinary minister. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Morley of NY, and sister, Mary Barnes, of Buffalo, NY. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Irene, of 69 years; his six children: Mary Ann Majchrzak-Rombach (Werner) of Invermere, Canada; Linda Hall (William) of Annapolis, MD; Paul Morley (Elise) of Valrico, FL; Barbara Sabo of Danbury, CT; Robert Morley (Rosa) of Baton Rouge, LA; Margaret Smith (Bert) of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren, Farrah, Nathan, Matthew, Sarah, Elisabeth, Nicole, Gregory, Zachary, Rebecca, Rachel, Philip, and Alexander, one great-grandchild, Charlotte, and his sister Dorothy Charlton of Rochester, NY. Robert's visitation will be held at Anderson McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK Street N., on Thursday, June 25 from 5-7 pm and a funeral mass will be held at 10 am at St. Raphael's Catholic Church on Friday, June 26.
