December 18th, 1920 - October 31st, 2006
Orgera, Adam, 85, of Seminole, died Sunday, October 29th, 2006 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He was born in New York City, NY and came here in 2002 from Greensboro, GA. He was the Sears Regional Manager for the New Orleans Group when he retired in 1981, after 35 years as an executive with the company. He was a Coast Guard veteran of WW II as a Lieutenant Jr. Grade. He was a member of the New Orleans chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Lions Club, and the Kiwanis Club. He served on numerous boards including the New Orleans Museum of Art, First Financial Bank of New Orleans, and Lee Memorial Hospital. He was also a member of the Crew of Rex in New Orleans. Adam enjoyed Golf, boating, fishing, horses and wine. He was a fine art collector and held a private pilot?s license. He was a master Bridge player and an avid Chess player. He was a graduate of the Brooklyn Technical Institute and attended Columbia University. He graduated from the Coast Guard Academy. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Louise; 2 sons, Raymond Orgera of Memphis, TN and Michael Orgera of Salt Lake City, Utah; 2 daughters, Vera Henson of Marietta, GA and Donna Gordon of Gulfport, FL; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
