Howard, Raymond Thomas, 85, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He was a native of St. Petersburg and was a Stereotyper at the former Evening Independent and then the St. Petersburg Times. He later worked for The Tampa Tribune where he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg where he was a lifetime Deacon and he was a 50 year member of Nitram Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emily J.; a son, Ray T. Howard, Pinellas Park; two daughters, Marcia J. Twigg, Statesboro, GA and Karen H. James, Largo; two brothers, Rev. Marvin W. Howard, Cmdr. US Navy Ret. and Garnett Howard, both of Mississippi; a sister, Dolly Bryan, Tampa; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
