Murray, Samuel Rowland, 81, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Coquina Key Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Charleston, W. VA., he came here in 1958 from Sidney, NY. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and was Protestant. He retired after 20 years as a mechanical engineer from Honeywell in Clearwater. After his retirement, he worked as a building contractor for several years. He was also an avid woodcarver. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Virginia ?Ginny?; three daughters: Stephanie Murray, Havana, FL; Cynthia Keup, Parkland, FL; and Jennifer Daniels, Tallahassee, FL; two sisters: Margaret McGill, Sylvania, OH and Nancy Bader, Richmond, VA; and one granddaughter, Samantha Phillips, Atlanta, GA.
