Gurry, Edward Anthony ?Ed?, 86, of St. Petersburg, died Friday December 15, 2006 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. He was born in Utica, NY and moved here in 1982 from New York. He was a Navy veteran, serving as Lt. Commander during WWII. He graduated from the University of Detroit and became one of the first aeronautical engineers in the country. He was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Margaret; his three daughters: Kathy Cotter, Plant City, FL, Peggy McCoy and Barbara Rowell, both of St. Petersburg; and his son: Edward Gurry Jr, Sarasota, FL.
