To: St. Pete Times Obit Desk, Monday, December 25th Mainenti, Frank E., 75, of St. Petersburg died Friday December 22, 2006 at Largo Medical Center. Born in East Paterson, New Jersey, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1975 from Elmwood Park, New Jersey. He was a Navy veteran having served as a SeaBee during the Korean War. He was the owner & operator of a service station for over 30 years as well as a part-time professional musician. He was a member of St. Raphael?s Catholic Church, the D.A.V. and the American Legion. He was a ?one man band? entertainer who sang and played the trumpet, guitar and keyboard at many local spots including American Legion, Italian Clubs, Pass-a-Grille Yacht Club and Shriners. He had been a councilman and on the Board of Education in East Paterson, NJ. Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Priscilla ?Pat? Mainenti; three 3 children: Frank Mainenti, Priscilla Pavluk, and Cherie Mainenti ? all of St. Petersburg; a sister: Roberta Roe ? Elmwood Park, NJ; three 3 grandchildren: Anthony Mainenti, Frank Pavluk and Stephanie Pavluk ? all of St. Petersburg; five 5 step-grandchildren: Mary Priolo ? Ruskin, FL, Dawn McCoy ? Tampa, FL, Melissa Ley ? St. Petersburg, Dennis Pavluk ? Tampa, FL, and Alex Pavluk ? Bradenton, FL; and a step-great grandchild: Abigail Ley ? St. Petersburg.
