Hussung, Edwin P. ?Big Ed,? 76, of Largo and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday Jan. 3, 2007 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He came to St. Petersburg in 1989 from his native Sterling, Illinois before moving to Largo later in 1989. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was owner and operator of Hussung Construction in St. Petersburg and retired after forty years of service. He attended St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, Largo. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener and football enthusiast. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara; two daughters: Deborah Riggins, Rock Falls, IL; Jill Hussung, St. Petersburg; two sons: Brad Hussung, St. Petersburg; and Edwin Hussung, Havre-de-Grace, Maryland; four brothers; three grandsons; six granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
