January 3rd, 1942 - July 4th, 2015
Lawson, Wayne V 73 of Saint Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at St Anthony's Hospital after a very short illness, with his loving wife, Sue, by his side. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service during which time he served overseas as a Chief Engineer during the Vietnam War. Wayne is survived by his wife, Sue, of 35 years; children, Wayne (Angie), Rusty (Susan), and Jeff (Jackie); and brother, Russell (Kim) of Key West. He is predeceased by his parents Warren V Lawson and Geneva Louise Scott; two sisters, Fran Carrigan and Renee Hernandez. There will be a gathering at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 12-1PM with interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery preceded by a graveside service at 2:15 PM on Monday, July 20, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the SPCA.
