Mary Ann Elliott
January 30th, 1923 - July 7th, 2015
Mary Ann Homoelle Elliott, born January 30, 1923, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at age 92. Mary Ann and husband of 67 years, Ernie, enjoyed the last years of their full and wonderful life as residents of the Masonic Home of FL in St. Petersburg. Ernie passed in October 2014 and Mary Ann followed him home on what would have been his 97th birthday in 2015. They are survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Originally from Cincinnati, Mary Ann attended nursing school in FL and working as an RN in Miami met Ernie who was stationed there with the US Air Force. Ernie's careers afforded them the opportunity to travel to and live in multiple domestic and international locales. During their St. Cloud, FL based retirement, they continued their love of travel and Mary Ann enjoyed nothing better than a cruise to Saint Anywhere. Mary Ann radiated friendliness, care and charm, looked for the fun in every situation and focused on the good in others. She was a sweet, gentle, strong soul generous with her time and many talents. Friends and family remain blessed by her presence in our lives. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 24, 2015, 10:00 A.M., at the Masonic Home of FL chapel, 3201 1st St, St. Petersburg. Interment will be in Bay Pines National Cemetery, joining Ernie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
