Paul Edwin Lovern
July 18th, 1927 - July 7th, 2015
Paul Edwin Lovern passed away on July 7, 2015, just days away from his 88th birthday. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Olga (Ateek) Lovern, his three children, Paula (Les) Coats, Paul (Christina) Lovern, and Tricia (Stephen) Beale, and his grandchildren, Gage, Gabrielle, Grayson, Colgan, Blake, and Garrett. Paul served in the U.S. Coast Guard, the Army, and was a wounded POW in Korea. He was a decorated solider whose medals included Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, Distinguished Unit Emblem, and Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars. Paul was an avid golfer and placed in many tournaments. He was a member of the Rocky Point Golf and Country Club in Tampa. He was loved by all and his quiet sense of humor will be missed. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
