Ward, Dorothy E., 89, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday June 28, 2007 at home. She was born July 24, 1917 in Kingston, New York, daughter of the late David Eighmey and Bessie Fanning Eighmey, wife of the late Joseph S. Ward. She moved to Florida in 1982 from Florham Park, NJ. She was an executive secretary for Kemper Insurance in Summit, NJ for about 25 years and helped her husband when he owned the Brooklake Delicatessen in Chatham, NJ. She was an artist specializing in watercolors and made her own Christmas cards. She wrote poetry, loved to travel and was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. She was a beautiful lady known for always wearing a lovely hat when going out and for her honesty. She was a loving mother to her children, the late Kathleen Troyer, Diana Oswin and Nancy Campana. Beloved grandmother of Denise Wingate, Nancy Mitchell, Michelle Carr, Aimee Hunzicker, Gretchen Harman, Mary Purcell, LuAnne Anderson, Christine Narvaez and William Ward Campana. Also great grandmother of 17 and great-great grandmother of 2.
