Mae Gertrude Wadford Brewer
January 8th, 1928 - July 22nd, 2015
Brewer, Mae Gertrude Wadford passed away Wednesday July 22, 2015. Mae was born in St. Petersburg, FL on January 8, 1928, at the Mound Park Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Jack Wadford and Mildred Turrisi and she graduated from St. Petersburg High School in May of 1946. Shortly after graduation she married Robert A. Cameron IV. She had her daughter Colleen in Micanopy, FL. and after moving to Oviedo, FL, she delivered her son, Robert A. Cameron V. She later married Ken Brewer in 1965 and lived in Texas for a while. After Mae moved back to St. Petersburg she worked for Doc Webb at Webb City before its closing years later. Mae Brewer is survived by her daughter, Colleen McKenzie, son, Robert Cameron; brother, Jack Wadford and daughter-in-law, Anita Cameron. She also has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mae enjoyed her family, friends, and the trips to the St. Pete Pier to have lunch with the family at the Columbia Restaurant. Mae will be greatly missed by her family; she has been an inspiration to all who have known her. She loved her family and always thought of them and others first. Even during her last days, she would have a pleasant smile for those who were nursing and helping her through the final passage to our Lord, Jesus Christ. We know God is blessing her in her eternal life. Mae's visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 11am-12pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., with a graveside service at 12:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
