Tuthill, Clayton T. 86, of St. Petersburg, died on Wednesday, October 3rd at St. Anthony?s Hospital under Hospice care. He was born on September 3, 1921 to Archie and Doris Tuthill in St. Petersburg. He lived here all of his life and worked for City Fuel Oil Co. for 30 years and then opened his own business, Tut?s Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an Army veteran, having served 2 years during WWII. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and also worked with Create to Share. He volunteered at St. Anthony?s Hospital for 15 years and for 10 years at St. Petersburg Free Clinic. Clayton was an avid fisherman, boater, enjoyed cooking, traveling and being with family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years Dorothy Frakes Tuthill, his brothers Floyd and Allen and his sister Charlotte Bowermaster. Clayton is survived by his wife of 20 years Gwen A. Tuthill; his sons: S. Brent Judy of Hendersonville, NC, and Mitchell and fiancée Gilda Sprinkle of Clearwater; his daughter Robin Tuthill partner Linda Allen of Chicago, IL; stepdaughter Christine Bennett Guerrero Mauricio of St. Petersburg; stepson David H. Bennett Pamela of St. Petersburg; his brothers: Vernon Malcolm Tuthill of St. Petersburg and Archie Henry Tuthill Jr. of Brookesville; 4 grandchildren: Branden Sandahl, Whitney Tuthill, Drew Tuthill and Wally Joughin all of St. Petersburg. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Dr. NE at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Petersburg Free Clinic or First Presbyterian Church.
