John Francis Baker
February 5th, 1969 - November 7th, 2007
Baker, John Francis 38, of Gulfport, FL, passed from this life after a long battle with cancer on November 7, 2007. John was born in Enfield, CT and moved to Florida in 1988. He obtained his Nursing degree and became Director of Oak Manor Nursing Facility. He founded the Alzheimer?s Foundation of Pinellas County. After 17 years in the nursing field, John went to Remmington College where he obtained his Associate?s Degree in Computer Information Systems as an Implementation Specialist. He was President of the National Technical Honor Society and graduated as Graduate of the Quarter. He remained on the Dean?s List when he graduated on October 26, 2007. He was employed by SCC Soft Computer and helped develop a software program for the hospital industry. He volunteered his services for many Pinellas County charitable organizations. He will be missed dearly by all the people whose lives he has touched. He is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Armand Baker. He is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Linda and Walter Hunter; father and stepmother, Louis and Robin Baker; his loving partner, George Allen; grandmother, Elaine Andersen; grandfather and grandmother, Armand and Peg Bartlett; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 4 to 8 PM with a service at approximately 7:00 PM at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Florida Suncoast.
