Mary K. Arsenault
January 24th, 1923 - November 21st, 2007
Arsenault, Mary K., 84, of St. Petersburg died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007. She came here in 1960 from her native Dothan, Al. She dedicated 27 years to Bayfront Medical Center as a nurse. She was also a Navy veteran of World War 2. She is survived by her Daughter Nancy, Son-in-Law John Barfield and her Grandchildren, Brian and Sarah, and her Dear Friend Libby Steele. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Her family and everyone who knew her will miss Mary. She brought laughter and music to our home. Her love and talent for the piano will live on in her Granddaughter Sarah. Mary also played the violin and in a pinch the harmonica. Mary was probably the biggest ?Rays? fan I know. She enjoyed going to games with her Grandson Brian. She enjoyed her life. As we traveled around the country from Maine to California, camping in almost every state and parts of Canada. We also paddled in our canoe to some of our countries? most pristine spots. She loved to fish and eat fish with hush puppies of course. And would drive for miles to get good hot boiled peanuts. Mary was a good nurse. She cared about her patients and would always go the extra mile to make sure they were getting the care they deserved. Mary wanted to know everything about the human heart. She enjoyed her work the most when she worked on the cardiac floor in hospital. She would not want us to think of her and be sad. She would want us to remember her like anyone with Irish blood and remember good music and laughter will get us through anything. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-NE St. Petersburg Chapel
