Darlene Alexandra Jordan
September 6th, 1943 - November 23rd, 2007
Jordan, Darlene Alexandra, 64, of Seminole, died Friday, November 23rd, 2007 under Hospice care at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. She was born to parents Edward and Ann Potyrala in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she was raised. She received a BS degree in home economics from Mount Mary College and worked as a dietitian at Milwaukee County Hospital until her marriage in 1966. Afterwards, she was a dedicated homemaker until her death. Although she moved many times over the years, she never felt at home anywhere until she moved to Seminole, Florida in 1987. She enjoyed doing needlework, exercising and watching reality TV. She also enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King, and followed the news with a passion. She was a pet owner and loved Thor, Morticia, and Loki dearly. She was a much beloved mother and a true friend, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jordan, her son and daughter-in-law, David and Rachel, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashley, and her ?special cat?, Kiki, all of Seminole. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M Friday at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 10851 Ridge Road in Seminole. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-Tyrone Chapel 727347-6636 With you a part of me hath passed away; For in the peopled forest of my mind A tree made leafless by this wintry wind Shall never don again its green array. Chapel and fireside, country road and bay, Have something of their friendliness resigned; Another, if I would, I could not find, And I am grown much older in a day. But yet I treasure in my memory Your gift of charity, and young heart?s ease, And the dear honor of your amity; For these once mine, my life is rich with these. And I scarce know which part may greater be? What I keep of you, or you rob from me. by George Santayana
