On May 19, 2024, Joseph W. Zummo Jr. transitioned to his heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. As a proud Christian, Joe centered his life around his family and the glory of God.
The Family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Joe Zummo on Friday May 31, 2024
at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dade City at 10am with a reception afterwards.

Joe shared 45 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Karen, and was a loving Father to his daughter, Ann Marie, and sons, Joseph III (Brittany), David (Monica), Gabriel (Kathy), Kevin (Daria), Nick & Ada (Jordan), Danny and many loved and dear ones that Joe and Karen have touched and Loved throughout the years. If you asked him how many children he had, Joes number always grew, that’s because the size of his heart and willingness to help and Love was too Large to measure.
The man was known by many as Joe, Joey, Husband, Father, Daddio, Papa Z, Mr. Z, Z Dogg and The Don, but his favorite was Grandpa.
What gave Joe his most Joy were his Legacies, his grandchildren:
Wesleigh, Roseanna, Yzzi (C.O.B), Lilly, Lila June, Jolean, Jasmin, Addy, Audrey, and Zayn Zummo.
Joe and Karen fostered many boys through the years, many stayed as Family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and dedication to his family and community.
Joe was known for his joyful spirit and love of business. He spent many years cultivating relationships through his work in tax preparation and substitute teaching.
Life for Joe began in Cleveland, Ohio. He was raised in Mentor, where he met Karen, then moved and started a life in Florida.
Joe had a small core of Lifelong friends that he held true with that became the family he chose, Joe Wohlander (Sherry), Rick and Lorraine Concilio and their families.
Joe is survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and close lifelong friends in Ohio and around the country that we would not have enough room to write out.
If Joe was involved, no one would go hungry or alone.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr., and Ann, his 2 older sisters, Roseanne, and Eva and 5 of his Sons.
