Mary U. Ather, 81, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1945 from her native Brooklyn, New York and was a 1951 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. She was the principal's secretary at Dixie Hollins High School for many years and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul W. Ather; 1 son, Mark J. (Melody) Ather; 3 daughters, Paula M. (Kelvin) Roberts, Carol A. Alberts all of St. Petersburg, Suzanne H. Ather of Sebring; 4 sisters, Jean Takach, Carol Hay, Victoria Stickney all of St. Petersburg, Frances Warwick of Perkasie, PA; and 8 grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Abigail, Olivia, Amelia, Dillon, Bryan, and Kristy. Visitation 10:00 AM to service time at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 11, 2014 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th Street North, St. Petersburg, with Father Viet, officiating. $(document).ready(function(){ });
