Paula Tucker Austin, 80, of South Pasadena, FL, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at home under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. She was born in Pinehurst, GA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1958 from Fort Stewart, GA. She was a 1944 graduate of Americus College in Americus, GA and was a sales clerk in the women's clothing department at the former Maas Brothers department store in downtown St. Petersburg. She taught in the Children's Sunday School Dept. and worked in the Nursery at Lake Maggiore Baptist Church and later at Fifth Ave. Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Leslie Paul Austin of St. Petersburg, FL; Rev. Perry William Austin of Knoxville, TN; one brother Charles Tucker of West Palm Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Patrick Austin of Clearwater, FL; Krista Austin of Knoxville, TN; Andrea Austin of St. Petersburg, FL; one great grandson.
