William "Bill" M. Bowman
February 19th, 1947 - June 11th, 2014
William M. "Bill" Bowman, 67, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away, Wednesday, June 11, 2014. He was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to St. Petersburg in 1980 from Annapolis, MD. He retired from the Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal where he received three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and a Field Commission to Captain during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Bowman; 2 sons, William Bowman of Kensington, CA, Heath Bowman of St. Petersburg; 1 brother, John Bowman of Highland, MD; his twin sister, Margaret Cook of Columbia, MD; and 2 grandchildren, Jake and Mary Jane Bowman. Visitation 2:00 PM to time of memorial service with Military Honors at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th Street North. $(document).ready(function(){ });
